Welcome!
Welcome to Troop 123
Seaford, VA
Troop 123 is one of the oldest Boy Scout Troops in York County. We offer an active outdoor program, with monthly camping trips, weekly meetings, and yearly high adventure and in-residence Boy Scout camping trips. Because of our age-integrated patrols, we are able to truly offer a boy-led troop, where the younger scouts are led and taught by the older scouts in their patrols and in the troop. We have an active adult cadre that works in a support and mentorship role for the troop.
Our program includes:
- Weekly meetings on Sunday afternoons from 4-5pm at Zion UMC in Seaford, VA
- Monthly camping trips
- Summer High Adventure Camp trips (this year we are going on a 185 mile bike trip on the C&O canal path. The last two years, we went sailing in the British Virgin Islands and hiked the Sierras!)
- Summer in-residence Boy Scout Camping trips (this year we are camping at Camp Raven Knob near Mt Airy, NC.)
- Age-integrated patrols, where the younger scouts are led and taught by older scouts
- An active merit badge mentoring program
